Our Medical Director, Dr. Sean Herbeck has been practicing medicine at VCA Parkwood since 2002. His interests include internal medicine and emergency medicine and surgery. He especially enjoys forming long-lasting bonds with patients and their owners. Dr. Herbeck had strong roots in our community and at VCA Parkwood. He attended Taft High School and worked as a veterinary assistant at VCA Parkwood before graduating from U.C. Davis School of Veterinary Medicine with honors. When not at the hospital caring for patients, Dr. Herbeck enjoys keeping current with new developments in veterinary medicine and spending quality time with his family and pets.
Dr. Nolasco has been working for VCA Parkwood since 1989, first as a registered veterinary technician for 10 years. He then had a brief recess to complete his foreign veterinarian graduate program at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation in 2000, he worked as a relief veterinarian for VCA and other private practices. In 2005 he rejoined the VCA Parkwood Animal Hospital family as a full time vet. He is interested in all aspects of veterinary medicine, giving special focus to the quality of life for his patients and the special bond between pets and their families. His current four legged friends are his Miniature Schnauzer, "Tasha" and his feline friends "Nala" and "Simba". Dr. Nolasco enjoys the outdoors, especially mountain biking, hiking and backpacking.
